V/V, U/U simultaneous receive
capability.
The IC-2725E is a true dual
band transceiver. VHF/VHF, UHF/UHF as well as
VHF/UHF simultaneous receive is possible. A simple push
of a button allows you to change between the main band
and sub band. An extended range receiver offers extra
listening enjoyment. |

Separated controller from
main unit.
The controller is separated
from the main unit for flexible installation, and the
microphone connectors are equiped bothe on the
controller and the main unit. Install the controller on
the dashboard and the nain unit under a seat or in the
trunk, as you please. A 3.5m separation cable, OPC-1156,
is supplied. In addtion, optiona MB-85 allows mounting
of the controller to the main unit. |

Indepent tuning knob for each
band.
The IC-2725E provides easy to
use ergonomic operation. Our original independent tuning
knob provides simple and quick tuning. Volume, squelch
and other function switches are symmetrically laid out
for each band. In addition, there are two speaker
jacks for each band on the main unit. |

Selectable amber and green
display.
The LCD backlight color is
selectable from amber and green. Select a suitable color
for your lighting condition, or your preferece. In addition, the display shows a diversity of
information with operational icons and an S-meter shows
the received signal strength. |

MOS-FET power amplifier.
A MOS-FET power amplifier
provides powerful 50W in the 144MHz band and 35W in the
430MHz band. Output power is selectable in 3 steps. In
addition, a silent cooling fan is very efficient in
discharging internal heat. |

HM-133, remote control
microphone.
The supplied HM-133, remote
control microphone extends the utility of the IC-2725 E.
The 10-key pad allows you to the frequency directly. The
F1/F2 buttons memorize the transceiver’s full settings.
As if switching between two separate radio’s, all
operating frequeencies, tone settings as well the
display color, fan speed, and set mode settings are
memorized. |

9600bps data terminal.
For direct packet modem
connection at 9600bps, there is a mini DIN ( 6-pin)
connector on the front panel of the main unit. Of
course, 1200bps packet communication is also possible
from the packet terminal or the microphone connector. |

104x2 DTCS/50 CTCSS tone
squelch operation is standard.
CTCSS and DTCS tone signaling
systems provide quiet stand-by and useful functions such
as pocket beep and tone scan. The pocket beep alerts the
operators with a beep alerts the operators with a beep
sound, when the transceiver receives a signal containing
a preset tone. Tone scan detects the tone frequency used
for opening a repeater or for tone squelch operation. |

Selectable squelch
attenuator.
This convenient feature
reduces interference from strong nearby signals. Rotate
the squelch control deeper then the 12 o’clock position
and the squelch attenuator is activated to reduce
receiving signal level by approx. 10dB. |

Selectable squelch delay.
This function keeps the
squelch in an open condition for a specified period,
even when a received signal becomes suddenly weaker then
the threshold level. The period is selectable from long
or short. You will not miss operating message contents,
when a signal suddenly weakens, etc. |

212 memory channels.
The IC-2725 E has a total of
212 memory channels, 200 regular channels, 2 call
channels and 10 scan edges. Each memory channel stores
tone frequency, skip information and so on. Our Dynamic
Memory Scan (DMS) system divides these memories into 10
groups, A to J, and provides easy channel selection. Of
course bank scanning is also possible. |
