Stylish design and simple
operation
Customer feedback has shaped
the design of the IC-E7. While a minimum number of
buttons provide quick and easy operation, its metal
plating tuning knob on the front panel gives the IC-E7 a
stylish appearance not seen before in any Ham radio. |

Total 1250 alphanumeric
memory channels
The IC-E7 has 1000 regular
channels, 50 band scan edges and 200 auto memory write
channels. Regular memory channels can be grouped into 18
memory banks (Max. 100 channels per bank). When naming
channels and banks with 6-digit letters and numbers, the
IC-E7 can display the channel and bank names. |
| |
|
Multiple scan functions
The IC-E7 supports 10 scan
types for ease of use:
•Bank link scan
The bank link scan provides dynamic memory scanning. You
can set the bank link on/off for each memory bank and it
only scans busy channels from the selected banks.
•Auto memory write scan
The auto memory write scan is a convenient combination
of scanning and writing memory channels. This function
automatically stores detected frequencies and modes in
the auto memory write bank. You can check the auto
memory write channels later and transfer them to regular
memory channels with alphanumeric channel names.
•Other scan types
Full scan.
Selected band scan.
Programmed scan.
Bank scan.
Memory scan.
Skip scan.
Priority scan.
Tone scan.

DTCS, CTCSS tone squelch
operation
CTCSS and DTCS tones are used
for opening a repeater or tone squelch operation such as
tone squelch and pocket beep for quiet stand-by. The
pocket beep alerts the operator with a beep sound, when
the transceiver receives a signal containing a preset
tone. |
