Dualwatch capability.

The IC-R20 is a dualwatch receiver, which allows you to receive two channels simultaneously. You can listen to FM, AM broadcasts TV audio, HAM, CB, marine or other utility communications while scanning or even listening to another channel.

Wideband coverage in all modes.

The IC-R20 covers from 150kHz to 3304.999MHz* in SSB, CW, AM, FM and WFM modes.
When receiving in dualwatch the combination of channels is 150kHz to 469.999MHz and 118MHz to 174.999MHz or 330MHz to 1304.999MHz. * Depending on version.

260 minute IC recorder.

The IC-R20 has a built-in 32MB IC recorder, which allows you to record received audio for up to 260 minutes. The IC recorder is useful in a variety ways, like recording a wireless microphone audio at a meeting. Recording qualities are selectable from HQ, SP and LP modes and playing speed is adjustable from x0.5 to x1.5. Used with the optional CS-R20, you can transfer the recorded to your PC and store them. ( Cannot play on PC)

100Ch/sec.* high speed scan.

The IC-R20 has a ultra fast 100 ch/sec.* scanning speed, providing quick and light scanning.

1250 alphanumeric memory channels.

Make up your own channel names for each of up to 1250 memory channels with 26 memory banks. Channel recognition is easy. The IC-R20 lets you use numbers, letters and 5 icons, when naming channels and banks. Icom’s exclusive Dynamic Memory Scan (DMS) system flexibly divides these memories and scans selected banks by simply adding and deleting bank links.

11 hours of continuous receive.*

The IC-R20 has a very effective power saving design for long operation.
A Lithium-Ion battery pack, BP-206, provides 11 hours of continuous receive* and when used with the power saving function, longer operating periods are possible. Power by AC adapter or optional cigarette lighter cable is also possible and the Li_Ion battery pack is simultaneously charged during operation.

Useful bandscope.

The bandscope function visually shows the busy or unoccupied channels within a specified bandwith (from 1 kHz to 100kHz) on the screen. The received audio is emitted while sweeping, allowing you to decide if it contains a modulated signal or not.

PC cloning capability.

With the optional cloning software, CS-R20, memory channels, recorded contents and receiver
settings are easily manged from your PC. A USB cable for connection with a PC will be supplied with the CS-R20.
